Hole 1

Hole 1

A great starting hole that sets the stage for the links golf experience. Given the sense of being in a channel, you could be on any golf course in Scotland, with nothing to break your view of the horizon. The fairway is framed by traditional links mounds which ensure that most shots feed into the fairway from both sides of the target area. All that’s required off the tee is a fairway wood or long iron, as you take aim for the first bunker on the right of the green. For the daring who want to get off to a flying start, taking a driver down the left of the fairway will set the scene for a simple pitch into the green. The correct yardage is essential, or the well-protected amphitheatre green will penalise an errant shot.
